Profile

Mayucocoon is the solo project of singer-songwriter Mayuko.

While studying oil painting at an art university, she began to express the music resonating in her mind as if "painting" it, which became the origin of her musical activities.
She weaves a dreamy and gentle sound world with painterly colors and a pure, spirit-like voice.

Her motto is "On a vacation on Earth."
She has performed live in eight countries around the world,
exploring a "glocal" lifestyle that connects the global and the local,
and nurtures her own way of being through life and artistic expression.

October 2001 Debuted with the mini-album "TOY CROSS."
Collaborated with diverse domestic and international artists such as JOHNNIE FINGERS, DJ KENSEI, and DANIEL WANG from the legendary New York electro/house label "BALIHU RECORDS."
The artwork for the analog record was created by the UK visual group "SHYNOLA," known for Radiohead’s "KID A." A remix album was released in New York in 2002.

After performing live at venues such as SHIBUYA-AX, she resumed studio production around 2004.

2007 Released songs exclusively on the music SNS "Myspace."
Her music spread overseas by word of mouth, attracting many inquiries from Western radio and TV stations like KCRW in the US and NOLIFE TV in France, where she was introduced as a mysterious Japanese female singer known as "The Child in the Cocoon."
Later, access from Japan increased, and she ranked first in the indie electronica category and second in the J-Pop category on Myspace.

July 2007 Released the mini-album "Amaranth."
Collaborated with artists from various countries, including Back Ted N-Ted in Arizona, USA.

September 2008 Released the song "Hikari to Iro" on the UK label KFM Records.

July 2009 Released "Hikari to Iro (choronik remix)" on KFM Records, UK.

2011 Released the maxi-single "Someiyoshino" under Pony Canyon.
The song was used as the ending theme for Nippon TV’s "Hamachan ga!" and cultural radio program "Lions Nighter."

April 2014 Released the original album "Vista Bouquet."
Performed live domestically and internationally in July at Hyper Japan in Paris and London,
August at JapanExpoUSA in San Francisco,
and November at Lucca Comics & Games in Italy.

March 2015 Performed live at Japan Expo Sud in Marseille, France,
April at Cherry Blossom Festival and Samurai Geisha Fest in San Francisco, USA,
July at events hosted by the Public Cultural Center of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, among others.

November 2015 Released the mini-album "Muguet Feerique."
Held a solo live at Future Seven in Omotesando.
The song "Benjamin" was used as the ending theme for BS Asahi’s "Europe's Best Travelogue."

April 2016 Performed at Napoli Comicon in Italy,
July appeared at Japan Expo Paris and Hyper Japan,
and conducted a European tour including live houses in Paris and London.

October 2017 Lithuania tour (Now Japan etc.),
November performed a live onboard the luxury cruise ship STARCRUISE VIRGO sailing between Japan and Shanghai.

January 2020 The song "shine" reached No.1 on Apple Music Lithuania J-POP charts.
In September, "Nemuri no Sekai ni Sasagu" ranked No.2 on KKBOX Malaysia Japanese singles charts.
In 2023, albums charted in multiple countries including France and Lithuania.

2020 Became a mother and relocated from Tokyo to Chiba.
Continues to hold international exchange-themed events with local children amid rich nature.

As of 2025 She continues to explore a "glocal" lifestyle connecting the global and the local, nurturing her own way of being through life and expression.

This is a new style ramen using Japanese koji and French butter.

【Event & Live】 What is Freedom!? Enjoy French Culture “Apéritif”!

Fee: 1,500 yen (tax included), free for preschool children

In France, there is a wonderful culture called “Apéritif” — enjoying light snacks and chatting before meals.
Valuing "Art de vivre" (the art of living), this relaxing and rich time is very pleasant.
I experienced this "free moment" in France and would love to share it with everyone in Sanmu.
This time, I even brought back the finest butter from France.
Let's spend an artistic, relaxed time together enjoying delicious bread and butter, along with fresh organic vegetables from Mitsumame Farm.
